About Archuleta County, CO
Archuleta County is located in southwestern Colorado at the base of the San Juan Mountains bordering New Mexico on one side and Utah on the other side. With an area covering 1120 square miles, it has a population roughly estimated at 12500 people with Pagosa Springs being its only incorporated municipality. Tourist attractions include five hot springs resort areas as well as numerous hunting grounds for elk deer antelope bison bear etc., making it a Mecca for hunters during falltime every year.
